Congratulations! Planning your wedding is an exciting time and it is always an honour to be asked to create a wedding cake for such a special day.
At Missy Cupcake I don't just make traditional iced wedding cakes. I provide a number of alternatives including naked, semi-naked and the increasingly popular buttercream wedding cake.
Consultations
Once you've booked your wedding date it's advisable to make contact with me at least 12 months before your wedding day to check availability, especially during the peak summer months.
I love discussing all things cake, and consultations are an opportunity for us all to get to know each other and give me an insight into the type of wedding you have planned.
During your consultation you will get to try some delicious cake samples and choose your flavours.
After the meeting, I will sketch out the design we've discussed and a quote/order form for you along with a copy of my terms and conditions.
All flavour choices must be confirmed 6 weeks prior to your wedding.
Iced Wedding Cakes
All iced wedding cake tiers are 5 inches deep as standard and contain multiple layers of sponge and fillings. They are sealed with luxury chocolate ganache before being iced with professional high-end sugar paste for a flawless finish.
Buttercream Wedding Cakes
Buttercream wedding cakes are the ideal choice for those who want something different to the more traditional iced wedding cake. These increasingly popular buttercream wedding cakes have become a bit of a speciality for me.
Wedding cakes are covered in tasty and fluffy buttercream, decorated with buttercream flowers or dressed with fresh flowers, fresh fruit or sugar flowers. Different buttercream textures and edible gold or silver leaf can also be applied.
N aked & Semi-naked cakes
Rustic naked and semi-naked cakes are deep in height with layers of sponge and filling.
Naked wedding cakes are simple, yummy and rustic. They can be dressed with fresh flowers or seasonal berries and have an optional sprinkling of icing sugar.
Semi-naked wedding cakes are skimmed with fluffy buttercream and dressed with fresh flowers or fresh berries and a touch of luxury with edible gold leaf.
C upcake Towers
Perfect for weddings, birthdays and christenings, cupcake towers can be matched to any theme or colour scheme.
I treat all of the cupcakes like little works of art. Cupcakes are decorated by hand and topped with handmade decorations, sprinkles or chocolate.

Wedding Cake Tables are the perfect option if you love cake and you’d like your guests to have a choice of different sweet treat items. Tiered cakes surrounded by cupcakes, mini cupcakes, cakesicles, iced biscuits or cake hearts to suit all your guests preferences.

The Ordering Process
All wedding cake orders require a 50% non refundable date retainer within 7 days of the consultation. This is applied towards the contracted wedding cake and deducted from the final balance. The final payment is due 4 weeks prior to your wedding date. Celebration cakes, cupcakes and all other orders require a 50% deposit with the remaining balance payable 1 week prior to collection.
Deposits are due when an order is placed and all details checked and agree upon.
Orders are deemed as accepted when the deposit or date retaining fee is paid.
Should payment be subsequently declined the order will not be completed or released until alternative payment arrangements have been agreed upon and received in full.

Any information about your wedding day, such as colour schemes, wedding theme etc, and any cake designs you already have in mind to help provide you with a price guide.
A full copy of our terms and conditions will also be sent to you.
Delivery & set up
Due to the delicate nature of wedding cakes we personally deliver and set up at your venue. We will liaise directly with your wedding venue coordinator to arrange this.
The cost of delivery and set up is based upon mileage to your venue and the time set up is likely to take based on the style of cake chosen. This will be detailed in your cake quote.
Stand Hire
We have a selection of stands available to hire to showcase your wedding cake. A small hire fee is required along with a refundable security bond which will be discussed at your consultation.
Alterations
Check your quote thoroughly, any amendments need to be made in writing. We will endeavour to adjust the design where possible depending on the nature of the request and amount of notice provided. Any alterations may affect the price and any work already undertaken for the original design and your balance will be adjusted accordingly.
Cancellations
Wedding cakes and special bookings are reserved specifically for you with some items being ordered of created several months in advance, therefore the following conditions will be implemented if an order is cancelled:
6 months prior to date agreed – 25% of the final price;
0-3 months prior to date agree – 100% of the final price.
Cancellations must be made in writing.
